Fixture text

Smoke test

1. Open the extension popup.
2. Paste the fixture text.
3. Enter category hint AI automation / Skool growth, visible members 9000, and price Free.
4. Click Audit.
5. Confirm score, benchmark read, benchmark, benchmark signals, risk flags, missing factors, rewrite checklist, and next experiment are visible.
6. If Chrome built-in AI is available in the review profile, click Run AI teardown and confirm visitor read, strongest angle, main gap, rewrite, share moment, first experiment, and safety notes are visible. If it is unavailable, confirm the popup says the benchmark audit still works.
7. Click Save, load the saved audit, then delete it.
8. Optional permission check: on a normal web page, select the fixture text, right-click, choose Audit Skool Positioning, and confirm the selected text appears in the extension page. The temporary selected text is cleared after it loads.

Expected permissions

The manifest requests contextMenus and storage. The extension has no host permissions, no content scripts, no activeTab, no scripting permission, no remote code, and no passive page reading.

Chrome AI note

The optional AI critique uses Chrome built-in Prompt API on supported Chrome 138+ desktop profiles after the reviewer clicks the button. Availability can be blocked by device requirements, storage, model download state, language support, or policy conditions. The deterministic benchmark slice remains the complete fallback path.

Scope boundary

The benchmark uses a bundled May 8, 2026 public Discovery/About card snapshot with 2,700 deduped public rows. The extension is not affiliated with Skool and does not promise higher rank, traffic, revenue, conversion, or growth.
